Create a Critter Monkey Card Fantabulous Challenge #20

This card is for the Fantabulous challenge # 20.  I just love this card. The picture does not do it justice, but it was a fun card. Fairly simple. The monkey was cut out at 2 3/4 inches. Banana I think at 3/4 or 1 inch. The vines were cut at 3 1/4 and 3 inches. The background is the cuttlebug birds & swirls folder.

Howdy Horse Card Paper Cutz Challenge #50

Paper cutz has a western challenge. I had been wanting to make this horse for a while, so it was a great excuse to cricut away.

A card for any occasion

This card did not scan as well as I had hoped. Some of the colors are more muted. Any way, it is an A2 version of a card I made for a challenge a couple of weeks ago. I changed up the colors and the size, but other than it is pretty much the same. I was asked to do a card class for church with some simple cards that people might enjoy to make. So here is the first one I plan to do. Let's see if I can come up with 3-5 more. One of which they would like to be a Christmas card.

Card recipe:
12-  squares 1 inch each in two colors
Blue 5 1/4 by 4 inch  and 2 1/4 inch square
cream 5  by 3 3/4 inch and 2 inch square
embroidery thread
Close to my heart Garden Green ink
Stretch your imagination  silhouette cut at 1.95

Another Sweet Treats Flower Card

Here is another card made with CTMH paper and Ink and the Sweet Treats cartridge for the Flower.

Strawberry Card for Card Patterns Sketch 73 Challenge

I did my second card for Card Patterns Sketch 73 Challenge.  I was a bit nervous of this one.  I was not even sure if I liked the pattern, but after this one came together, I am rather thrilled with the layout and happy I did it.  It looks rather simple, but it has a bunch of layers.    I used Close to my heart paper for both pinks and the brown is papertrey ink.  I used the Mini Monograms & Hello Kitty Greetings cartridges.  Inked the edges and used a white gel pen for stitching.

Ice Cream Cone card

I did this ice cream cone card for a challenge on Fantabulouscricut   # 18. I just recently stumbled on this blog and will be checking them out more soon.

This is a fun card to make. It did not turn out as expected at the beginning. I just tweaked things as I went. The goal was to make it a card using Sweet treats card function. I pretty much make A2 size cards, so for met to make one that was not a rectangle was a good challenge for me. That turned out pretty easy.

The cone was not the right fit, but we made it work. The scoops were the perfect size. The flavors are mint chocolate chip, vanilla carmel swirl, and chocolate with a cherry on top. I used UTEE on the ice cream and cherry to give them a shiny look that they have would normally have. Added diamond stickles to a part of th cherry. Cuttlebug Divine Swirls on the middle scoop of ice cream and the cone I used candy cane cuttlebug. I have seen som great embossing folders for the cone, I just don't own one.

Cars B-Day invitation

Here are three of the invitations for my son's birthday party.   I would do this differently if I did it again, but I had all the little parts already cut out before I assembled the first one.  Way too many little parts.  This is better if done a bigger size for this cut out in my opinion. Which color do you like best?

Christmas card Challenge

For Throw back Thursday on "Creative time for me" we were asked to use wild card to make a holiday card. Since I don't have it, I used Stretch your Imagination. I am also using this card for the challenge for Cardztv, as it is Christmas in July and the challenge was to use ribbon, buttons, or lace. I have a button trim from cuttlebug and ribbon. The sentiment of Merry Christmas was done by inking the cuttlebug folder and then embossing the paper.
