Create a Critter Bird

This is a card I made for my mother. She got me some paper and the Martha Stewart punch used in this card. I wanted to send her a thank you note to let her know how much I appreciated it. The bird is from Create a critter and I pretty much used the colors in the handbook. They looked so cute that way. The flower on the bird is embossed with UTEE. It gives it a nice finish that way and with the rhinestone in the middle.

Teacher Apprecitaion Week

This year I was asked to head up teacher appreciation week for all the teachers and staff. We did something special each day of that week. Here is what we did:

Theme: Teachers are the planting the seeds of tomorrow flowers.

Monday

A seed packet in their boxes with this note attached:

Every day you are planting a seed
Of curiosity and motivation
To know and to grow and succeed. You help me fulfill my potential;
I’m thankful for all that you’ve done.
I admire you each day, and I just want to say,
As a teacher, you’re number one! By Joanna Fuchs

(The idea of the seed packets came from this hot apple cider slider card here)

Tuesday

Afternoon snack in the teacher's lounge

Wednesday

Flower notes from students on their doors.

Thursday

Cookie bouquet with note attached:

Teachers who inspire know that teaching is like cultivating a garden, and those who would have nothing to do with thorns must never attempt to gather flowers. ~Author Unknown

Thank you for all you do. We appreciate you.

Friday

A card for each teacher with their classroom money allotment and a staff t-shirt for all staff.
