Card Patterns Challenge

When I saw the Card Patterns Challenge # 89 this week, I knew I wanted to cut ordaments from Winter Frolic. They were cute at 1 3/4 inches. After tossing a few ideas around, I finally decided on these papers. The greeting is covered in glossy accents to give it a bit of a shine. I noticed later it bleed a bit a greenish color, but since it matched my glitter and paper, I decide to leave it as if I did it on purpose. Kind of strange. I haven't had that happen before.

Get well butterfly card

I love this butterfly. I used the Create a Critter Cartridge and stacked a couple to ge it a 3-D look of a real butterfly. I made this card to fit  a couple of  challenges.  The tag is the first thing I have made with the free download of Tags, bags, boxes and more cartridge. Both stamp sentiments is from Papertrey Ink.

Fantabulous # 23

This week at FCCB challenge # 34, we were to use a bird or a bird cage. I had been wanting to try out this bird cage in the Winter Frolic Cartridge, so I made it. I have seen some really cute bird cages lately and have been wanting to do one too. I even cut the sentiment from the same page.

Jitterbuggin Sketch Challenge

This week on Jitterbuggin Challenge,  we had to follow a sketch, use a tree and the color yellow.  I immediately knew I wanted to use a  tree I saw in the Cindy Loo Cartridge.  I hand colored each of the leaves to give it a range of colors.  I love the trees in the fall.  I love all the different shades of yellow, orange, and reds.  Fall is not my favorite season, but I sure do love the leaves.

Happy Birthday Card using Smiliey Cards

I saw this cake and just had to make it. I am not a big face fan, so of course I left it off.  I just love pink and brown together.   Yum, this makes me want to eat cake right now.

I am enjoying playing with my new cartridges for the gypsy. So glad I got my gyspy for so many reasons. Any way here is a card I made for a challenge for SSD #49.  I had to follow a sketch design. I hope you enjoy.

Savior Christmas Card

This week on CCC # 49, the challenge was to do a Christmas card with something that started with the letter "S". I looked through my Christmas Cartridges and decided to do the one I call the Savior of the World.

I used the Winter Frolic cartridge for the manger, baby and star. The circle and scallop is re-sized from a circle flower on Sweet Treats. I don't have a scallop oval on any of my cartridges, but it is easy enough to reshape using the Gypsy. The snowflake background is done with some snowflake stamps and embossing powder. Hope you enjoy and will play along too.

Sweet fish card made using Smiley cards

I had a bit of trouble getting my 6 free cartridges yesterday. I had the right download, but my new carts were showing up red. When I went back to try it again, it said that there were no new downloads. After trying a few times to no avail. I restarted my gypsy a second time and there they were. Humm, not sure what happened, but oh, well I am happy.

I saw this fish on the new Smiley Cards Cartridge, I thought I have to make a card with it. So here it is. Love those eyelashes. The hardest part about this cartridge is the lack of handbook to print. I printed the others online, but this one isn't there. Hopefully it comes out soon. I love those handbook to help me visualize the end result. I don't always do that on my one.

Be Merry Mouse card

I have to say I just love this pattern paper.  Thank you Mary for sending it to me. I am so glad I finally had a chance to play with it.    These mice are from the border feature on Winter Frolic.  The scallop oval is a Sweet treats flower that I tweaked with the gypsy and the oval center is from George and basic shapes.

I think they are so adorable. Next time I would make the present a more contrasting color, so it stands out a bit more, but other than that I am pleased.  It turned out so very cute. I just love this sketch. It is a must do again one. Hope you enjoy and even play along with the Sweet Sunday sketch # 91.
