MPS Challenge DT 2011

This year I made the goal to have a plan for what I create. So for my first card this year, it is only fitting that it be for my husband. Yes, I know it is pink, but you see he is my biggest fan and supporter and manly or not he will love it. I left two areas blank so I could write a love note later.

My inspiration to make this came from a challenge for the My Pink Stamper Design Team. We were to use the colors green, pink, brown and one other color (white).  I would love to be on the MPS design team, but have so little hope with 350 entries and only two spots.  Thank Robyn for looking and for a chance.

I used lots of paper:
Papertrey Ink New Leaf
Papertrey Ink Hibiscus Burst
Papertrey Ink Sweet Blush
Coredinations Strawberries -N-Cream
Cypress Fashion Color Pack for dark green
Tiffany's Design Scrapbook Pad for pink & green pattern paper

Additionlly I used:
Once Upon a Princess for frog and lily pad
Lyrical Letters for hearts and words
Zooballo for hearts
My Pink Stamper love-alicious for both sentiments
CTMH Garden Green Ink
White gel pen
Brown and Pink stickles
Sanding block
Cuttlebug Love Language embossing folder
Adhesive and pop dot

Someone asked what the reason was for giving my husband this card now, instead of Valentine's Day. Where do I start?

For never complaining when I craft.
Always letting me buy just one more cricut thing.
Making dinner or helping around the house without being asked.
Always treating me with kindness, even when I am grumpy.
For making me a card with my cricut for Christmas when I asked him too.
For being my sweetheart and best friend.
For just being him and so much more.

How tweet it! sketch challenge

I have never used this cut before. In fact it comes from a cart I rarely use, except for grass. It is my go to card if I need grass.

So I thought it would be fun to use it for more than just grass. I even got to use my new irock for the mama bird's eye and the sentiment.
I got the sketch from  here.

Flamingo card.

I made this card for the My Pink Stamper Challenge to use a bird. I decided to use an easel card that I learned how to make on Made by Momo. The measurements for the card base is 4 x 11. Then score at 2 3/4 and 5 1/2. The front part measures 3 3/4 x 2 1/2 and then 3 1/2 x 2 1/4.

The flamingo is from Life's a Beach at 4 1/2 inches.
Grass from Zooballo and sized on my Gypsy to 3.8 x 2.78.

Zooballoo Monkey Card

Emma at My Creative Time has a throw back challenge each week using an older cricut cartridge each week. This is my first challenge, so I thought I would give it a go. I like the monkey in create a critter better than this one, but this one is cute too. Every cut is from Zoobaloo, re-sized to fit a A2 Card.
